The portions are huge and overall the food was delicious except for the meat. I got the carnitas tacos and they were the dryest carnitas I have ever had. I like my meat on the dryer side, and it was actually too dry for me! I could tell by the taste that the pork was not the best quality either. I would try this place again if I feel like trying a vegetarian option. Otherwise, I'll try somewhere else next time.
This El Burrito Loco has been a favorite, warm fuzzy of mine since the late 90s/early 2000s! Grew up going here for treats! Their wet burrito got even better, too! That never happens! Love their fried whole fish plate as well you don’t find that often! They only have 1 size giant burrito now but it’s huge! Their fresh quac is fire! Their chips are freshly fried but they’re not as thin as I like them.
Their bowls are great!! Huge, lots of options! Wasn't a huge fan of the steak. Was expecting better quality, marinated, yummy steak but it was more like pieces/ground/shredded and just bland. Everything else in the bowl was great! Chips and salsa on point! Will be back to try a different meat!
I have been going here for almost 15 years. Always great food and service. A few weeks back in the drive through my son started having a seizure. I had just ordered and quickly took off to the hospital never receiving the food. Two weeks later I went back and ordered. When the man took my card and started to run it he noticed the name and told me they owed me a dinner. I explained that it wasn’t their fault. He handed me back the card and told me that we would call it even. It meant a lot and I will still come back every chance I get. Every item is great and always served fresh and hot off the grill. My favorite place in the Bourbonnais/Kankakee area.
This is my favorite restaurant in town by far. I get steak tacos here every week and they are phenomenal. I cant say enough good things about these guys! 6/5
